Wilton Manors Single Use Straw Ordinance

In the summer of 2019, our Palm Beach and Broward Chapters began working with the Wilton Manors community and elected officials to suggest a plastic straw ordinance in The city of Wilton Manors. The reduction of plastic straws helps to decrease the need for fossil fuels, which are used for these wasteful and lightweight single use plastics which often end up as litter in our marine environments.

The Ordinance passed on October 14th upon second reading!
