Say NO to a massive new development at the Ventura County Fairgrounds

This includes a baseball stadium, parking lots, and further commercializing our coast with cookie-cutter malls. Surfrider is opposed to this development for several reasons including:

The site was historically wetlands, it is in a high-hazard zone for frequent flooding. Especially with sea level rise.

There has been little consideration or studies done on the environmental impacts on the coast.

Access to local beaches will become increasingly difficult.

While the Fairgrounds Board has already voted down PGS' proposal 5 - 0, Surfrider still needs your voice. Join us at the next Fairgrounds Board of Directors meeting and make your voice heard:
