The Rincón Chapter of the Surfrider Foundation is working to pass "la ley PC 438," which would ban the use of expanded polystyrene (EPS) foam (commonly known as Styrofoam™) food containers; including foam cups, plates, “clamshells” for sale or use in Puerto Rico.

This law would ask vendors to opt for reusable or recyclable alternatives.
