Ban Fracking in San Luis Obispo County, CA
Goal: To ban fracking in SLO County and slow oil extraction exports from SLO County.
The SLO Chapter has been working to support the passage of Measure G, a ballot initiative that would have banned all new oil wells on unincorporated lands of San Luis Obispo County. There is a lot of interest in SLO County to “Keep it in the Ground”! Over 40% of voters supported “Yes” on G, but the measure was defeated.
